Gregory M. Yaffa is a civil trial lawyer and Shareholder in the law firm of Domnick Cunningham & Yaffa. He has a statewide practice dedicated to litigating complex cases and righting wrongs for clients who have suffered devastating injuries due to the negligence and misconduct of businesses and insurance companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association (FJA). In 2019, the FJA awarded him the Jon E. Krupnick Award which recognizes and honors a trial lawyer champion whose efforts on behalf of a particular client reflect relentless commitment, perseverance, and fortitude to seek justice and achieve success through all obstacles and legal roadblocks.

Mr. Yaffa served on the team of trial lawyers who litigated Suzanne Harvey, etc. v. Geico General Insurance Companya case that was heard before The Florida Supreme Court. In its 4-3 ruling, the Court determined that the Fourth District Court of Appeal misapplied the Florida Supreme Court’s bad faith precedent and relied on inapplicable federal caselaw when it reversed a jury verdict which found Geico had acted in bad faith in failing to settle a claim brought against its insured.

In addition to his successful law practice, Mr. Yaffa has been elected into leadership by several respected professional associations. He is Past President of the Palm Beach County Justice Association and was one of the youngest attorneys to hold the organizations’ highest office. Formerly, he served as President of the North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Justice Association.

Mr. Yaffa has earned an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell in the areas of Insurance, Personal Injury, and Litigation. His reputation in the legal field has also earned him distinctions by The Best Lawyers in America©, Florida Super Lawyers, “Top Lawyer” status by South Florida Legal Guide, and Palm Beach Illustrated. Mr. Yaffa is a regular columnist for the Florida Justice Association Journal where he provides expert analysis and insurance-related case law updates.

Mr. Yaffa received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond.
