(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – July 7, 2017) – Jeanmarie Whalen and Fred Cunningham obtained a $3,000,000 verdict today on behalf of Marc Rene, a 37-year-old man who suffered debilitating injuries after a tractor-trailer collided with his vehicle on Benoist Farms Road in West Palm Beach. The 6-member jury delivered a full measure of justice for the Rene family holding the Defendants, Pat Salmon & Sons of Florida Inc. and truck driver Patrick Chancey, liable for damages caused by the collision. The two-week trial, case #50 2015 CA 007601 XXXX MB, was heard in Palm Beach County Circuit Court before the Honorable Judge Richard L. Oftedal.
On October 11, 2014, Marc Rene was driving home in West Palm Beach when a tractor-trailer failed to yield the right of way and collided into his vehicle. As a result of the driver’s negligence, Mr. Rene suffered significant injuries that required multiple surgeries and will continue to impact his quality of life permanently.
