Jeanmarie Whalen Voted Chair of National Trucking Litigation Group

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (August 2, 2019) – Domnick Cunningham & Whalen is pleased to announce that Jeanmarie Whalen has been elected Chair of the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group (AAJ TLG). She is the second woman in the history of AAJ (a 20,000-member national organization) to lead this prestigious group of attorneys who handle complex and catastrophic cases arising from trucking accidents. Ms. Whalen was also presented with an award of grateful appreciation by TLG for her work as Chair-Elect. The events took place during the AAJ Annual Convention in San Diego on July 27, 2019, during which Ms. Whalen also moderated the education program “Best Practices to Successfully Litigate the Truck/Bus Crash Case.”

After the election, Ms. Whalen stated, “I am looking forward to leading the Trucking Litigation Group and assisting attorneys across the country in securing justice for the victims of catastrophic trucking collisions. The TLG educates its members on the best practices for litigating and maximizing recoveries in truck crash cases to ensure that trucking companies are held accountable for their negligence and misdeeds.”

Ms. Whalen holds numerous leadership positions within AAJ including service as a member of the Board of Governors, Public Affairs Committee, Bus Litigation Group Executive Board and Co-Chair of the Election Committee.

Ms. Whalen is an experienced civil trial lawyer and a leader in trucking litigation. She has first-chaired trials resulting in multi-million-dollar verdicts and obtained over 30 multi-million-dollar recoveries for her clients. Ms. Whalen has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the field of personal injury, Florida “Super Lawyers” and as a “Top Lawyer” by the South Florida Legal Guide multiple times.
