Jeanmarie Whalen Voted Chair-Elect of National Trucking Litigation Group
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (July 30, 2018) – Domnick Cunningham & Whalen is pleased to announce that Jeanmarie Whalen has been voted Chair-Elect of the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group (AAJ TLG). She will become the second woman in the history of the organization to lead this prestigious group of attorneys who handle complex and catastrophic cases arising from trucking accidents. Ms. Whalen was also presented with an award of grateful appreciation by TLG for her work as Co-Chair of the “Taking your Truck Case to Trial” seminar. The events took place during the AAJ Annual Convention in Denver on July 7, 2018, during which Ms. Whalen was also a featured lecturer on the topic, “Mediation and Negotiation Strategy in Truck Cases.”
Ms. Whalen holds numerous leadership positions within AAJ including service as a member of the Board of Governors and Public Affairs Committee, Treasurer of the Bus Litigation Group and Co-Chair of the Election Committee.
Ms. Whalen is an experienced civil trial lawyer and a leader in trucking litigation. She has first chaired trials resulting in multi-million-dollar verdicts and obtained over 30 multi-million-dollar recoveries for her clients. Her most recent trial involving a trucking accident resulted in a $3 million jury verdict. Ms. Whalen has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the field of personal injury, Florida “Super Lawyers” and as a “Top Lawyer” by the South Florida Legal Guide multiple times.
