Jeanmarie Whalen Elected to Leadership of National Trucking Litigation Group
Domnick Cunningham & Whalen is pleased to announce that Jeanmarie Whalen has been elected Secretary of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Trucking Litigation Group. The Trucking Litigation Group is national group of attorneys who handle complex and catastrophic cases arising from trucking accidents. Collisions involving truckers cause an average of 5,000 deaths every year, and are often a result of excessive truck speed, poor driving, improperly loaded cargo, driver fatigue, equipment defects or poor maintenance.
Ms. Whalen is an experienced civil trial lawyer and shareholder in the firm with a statewide and national practice devoted solely to representing the victims of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death. She currently serves as an AAJ Board of Governor and for the past three years, served as an Executive Board Member of the Trucking Litigation Group. Her record of leadership includes service as President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), two-term President of the Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL, past Chair of the Women’s Caucus of the Florida Justice Association and past Chair of the Florida Bar Convention.
